New Video – South Bend 10K Wired Up

I posted my second YouTube video last night. This past weekend my dad helped me run a 240V circuit to the shop, install the VFD, and get the South Bend 10K lathe running for the first time in it’s new home.

I switched over to using my Nikon D3400 with the 18-55mm kit lens for capturing the video. When I’m holding the camera the audio seems fine, but I switched over to my lapel microphone when I’m in front of the camera. As before, the lapel mic just runs into my phone and I use a recording app. It’s important that the phone’s screen remain off during recording because it makes a lot of noise. I didn’t realize until uploading that around the 5 minute mark the audio is really hard to hear, even though I’m close to the camera.
